 At their monthly meeting today, the Executive Committee decided to continue operating Tuesdays at reduce hours.  Until further notice, the club will be open on Tuesdays from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.  Playing fees will be $3 for members and $5 for non-members.

As most of you know, the Club has been hurting financially the last few years, and the recent recession has certainly not helped.  While we still have adequate funds on hand, we cannot continue to absorb significant losses every year.  That does not auger well for the Club’s future.

Starting in April, the Club's Tuesday hours will be from 7:30pm to 9:30pm.  To compensate for this shortened opening time, the playing fee will be reduced to $3 for members and $5 for non-members.  This reduction in hours is necessary due to the low attendence and financial state of the Club.  The new Tuesday Club hours and playing fee schedule will start on Tuesday April 6. At the end of June, we will re-evaluate the situation and make adjustments as necessary.

The lighting at the Tice Valley Gym, site of the 2010 Golden State Open tournament, has been significantly improved.
The project was completed last week and should greatly reduce complaints about the facility's darkness.

Effective March 11, Thursday Round Robin players with CTTC ratings over 2100 will pay no fee!  USATT ratings will be used for new players without a CTTC rating.

At this weekend's Western Open held at the University of California, Berkeley,
Jared Wong won 1st place in the U800, U950 and U1100 events.
Amandi Li was the runnerup in the U800 event.
Lennox Bartley won the U2250 event.
